remembrance of a vengeful folk or a much deeper-meaning stalk?
Each Year, on December 14th, the 47 Lord-Less Samurais are remembered in Edo 's Spring-hill Temple . This image was taken by Stéfan Le Dû and he licensed it for public use under the terms of CC BY-SA 2.5 But why are they remembered so? Why the veneration? Is it the incredible style of vengeance? The highest demonstration of loyalty ? Scholars still argue if they walked the true path but the people know and this is why they remember so.
