The vocabulary of missing feelings: a beginning

Every once in a while, one feels that he lacks a word for the accurate description of one's feelings. It might be an unbridgeable gap between the cognitive and the emotional, and yet, one has to make an effort...

What is a feeling ? A feeling is a generalizing term for a subjective, aware, experience which can be characterized by psychphysiological & biological expressions and mental states.

Feelings such as Love, Hate, Courage, Fear, Enjoyment, Sadness, Disgust, Happiness and others can be described both by physical terms and psychological terms.

For example:
A feeling can be described by a change in the beating rate of the heart, in the level of sweating, or in the extraction of facial muscles and the formation of facial expressions.
A feeling can also be described by the changes it brings in a person's self-assesment of one's condition, and his pseudo-rational choices of action, upon that self assesment.

Different Researchers have proposed different lists of emotions and feelings.

Still wish for a more scientific disucssion ?
The Article "Emotion" in Wikipedia might be a good place to start the search for the fulfillment of that wish.

But let us move on to the nexus of this post: the beginning of a formation of new words, describing feelings which lack adequate verbal names.
