no more corporations

As I was leafing through Google's materials regarding its new privacy policy, I was sadly thinking about the diminishing concept of privacy. With Facebook slowly sending its tentacles everywhere and communication companies eavesdropping shamelessly, it seems we must choose between modern life and privacy, and that the choice is being made for us.

There used to be times when privacy was a right.
But it is clear that sooner, this no longer shall be true.

No more.

Soon enough, keeping our data to ourselves shall be considered illegitimate.

And not too long afterwards, it will probably become a felony.

Is it possible that it might be better for our civilization to end at the end of 2012 ? That we start again, a lot less of us, but with a greater commitment to the sound principles of humanity ?

Maybe only one rule is required: a complete and utter prohibition on corporations ?

Yes, I know. People will tell you that corporations are a necessity of modern economy. Without them, the industrial revolution would have looked completely different. It would have been much slower.

Development, Technology, Progress -  would have been all very different a phenomena.

And I ask you: would it have been that bad ?

Imagine: a life without corporations.

I feel a lot better with this image, than with the image of life without privacy.
